After answering the love questions last week at youth, we decided to look at the 5 different meanings the Bible uses for Love this week. Pray that the teaching is understood and applicable for the youth in their context.  We asked the youth "What is Love?" this is what they had to say... YOUTH SERVICE AT ST. JOHN ANGLICAN SUNDAY FEBRUARY 29, 2017 This week Sunday we has a youth service at St. John Anglican Church in Prescott. We are so blessed by these services as a few of our youth do not attend church regularly, and it is beautiful to watch them interact with the older generation, and be cared for by them. It is our hope for youth to be in regular attendance of fellowship, with the potential of bringing their family with them.  Please pray for our youth that have no home church, and for their families as well. Youth For Christ Eastern Conference in Kingston YFC Eastern Regional gathering was February 24-26 in Kingston. We were able to gather for one day to receive training, and connect with other staff in the Eastern region. The top picture includes the newest affiliate directors. In front, Mark Baker from Halifax, and Danielle Charlton from North Bay. Pray for these two, as they are both at the beginning of their journey with YFC Canada. Across from yours truly, Tim Coles who oversees all new initiatives across Canada. The bottom pictures are the National staff at YFC. Pray for continued protection, rich regular encounters with Jesus, and a continued persistence in the knowing Gods will as He moves before us through Canada to reach Youth for Christ. Please continue to pray for the upcoming Global Alpha Campaign in Brockville.  We have been walking with church groups and are encouraged to see what God is already doing in the hearts His leaders. This week Wednesday there is group training at Highway Church. The rest of February all Alpha's (Youth, Young Adults, men, women, and Church) across Brockville start their Alpha's. Pray that the medicine continues to heal her body so she can continue doing what crazy 5 year old girls do:) Thank you for your continued support. Healthy Love, Week 2

Last week we asked the youth "What is Love" (see video link below). We also asked them to write out a question about love for the question box. To our surprise, the questions had more to do with relational love then with sexual love. This week they will view the video, and we will discuss and answer some of the questions they came up with together. Please pray for this time together. Tuesday and Wednesday of this week, we will be in attendance at the YFC Eastern Region Retreat. The theme for this retreat is "Rest: How to find spiritual renewal in resting and retreating". Please pray for this message to the staff that will be in attendance, for travelling mercies to and from Kingston each day, and for the volunteers looking after the Youth Answer group while we are gone. This Sunday we will be having a Youth Service at St. John Anglican in Prescott at 10:30 am. The youth have been asked to participate in various area's in the service, and there will be a pot luck lunch served after. We are excited for the youth that do not attend a local church to experience what this is like, and for families to join them. Pleas pray for this, and feel free to attend as well! This week Thursday we will be having the monthly Youth Pastors prayer time. It is a time of sharing personal as well as professional struggles, and praises. This continues to be a place where relationships and trust are fostered. This week Friday we will be taking one of the young ladies in our L.I.T. group to the alternative school in Prescott to look into finishing all that is needed for her to receive her high school diploma. Please pray that her parents are in agreement, and this young leaders fears have no place in the process she desires to finish.  Please continue to pray for the upcoming Global Alpha Campaign in Brockville. There are various groups running Alpha all over Brockville with the potential for some exciting change within the Family of God. We have been walking with church groups through this process and are so encouraged to see what God is already doing in the hearts of those He has called to lead. On February 1st there will be a small group training time at Highway Church, the week of February 5 all Alpha's (Youth, Young Adults, men, women, and Church) across Brockville will begin. Preparation

Tonight and for the next 3 weeks our youth will be talking about Healthy Love. We will be looking at what the Bible says about love. Love between God and man, between a man and a woman, and the cultural difference between followers of Jesus and the World. This can be a touchy subject, please pray for all conversation to be coated in Love, and seasoned with truth. The lesson and preperation for it will be finished today.

We continue to work with four youth groups in the Upper Canada region that will all be using the Youth Alpha materials at the same time. Our youth Answer group will be using this opportunity to build confidence in natural leaders to lead our group some weeks. This begins the 2nd week of February. We will be organising a Holy Spirit weekend with all the youth groups participating in Youth Alpha again this year. Please pray into this weekend. This weekend will be either the last week in March or the first weekend in April, 2017. If you are interested in helping out with the Holy Spirit weekend, please send a reply to this email. There will be many youth, many mouths to feed, many hearts and minds to keep in prayer and many bodies to supervise. We would like to offer this time to the youth and their leaders for free, so ask God how you can help. Thanks! Wednesday this week, we will be facilitating a meeting with the Young Souls on Fire (Youth Adults) group in Brockville to plan for their Alpha series beginning the second week in February. Please pray for the small group leaders, and for the larger group to catch the vision for the Global Alpha Campaign in Brockville. I believe this group has potential to have an amazing impact on this generation through their willingness to participate in this. Thank you for your prayer. Thursday this week group from this area will be meeting with two of the the leaders from Alpha Canada. Regional Director for Ontario, Ryan Moffat and Tim Teakle, Youth Associate for Ontario will be joining us for dinner in Kemptville to discuss planning and best practices for Alpha both in the Young adult and Youth context. Pray for them, their ministries, and that the time spent with them is helpful both for us and them. For more info or to support these guys in what they are called to do in Canada, See link below. Alpha Canada staff From January 23-26 we will be at Eastern Regional in Kingston. This is a time of fellowship and training within the family of YFC. Please pray for our time together, and for daily travel mercies. Our family has been experiencing sickness for over two weeks now. Please pray for healingand rest... and patience. (Mostly patience for mom, nights have gotten very long)   I cannot thank all of you enough for your ongoing support. Knowing that you stand in place, praying for youth, events, programs, the present and future of Upper Canada YFC is so encouraging. This continues to be one of the best journeys God has ever invited us to be part of. Thank you for journeying with us! Blessings to each one of you.

We are back tonight at youth! This evening we will be reminded of why we began "Youth Answer" and why we call it ANSWER. (A-ask, N-nourishment, S-serve, W-worship, E-encourage, R-repent) These are the words the youth used to describe a group they wanted to be part of. We will also be discussing what is on the agenda for the next few months for teaching.  Please pray for the new youth coming to group. There is ****** and *****. One other may come if her parents are able to bring her, please pray for that detail as well. I would also ask that you pray for *****, *****, and ***-****. These are all youth I am still in contact with that have stopped coming to youth. My prayer would be that they have a desire to come back to hear about Jesus and fellowship with this great group of Youth. They are missed when they are not in attendance.

Next week Monday, The leaders in Training will begin to meet again. Please pray for a hunger to know God and the Word more than any other thing in their lives. Pray for a desire to share and pray for one another, while taking responsibility in the larger Youth Answer group. Youth Pastors in Brockville and our youth group are all getting ready to teach the Youth Alpha series for February 2017.  Our group will be using this opportunity to train the youth in how to run small groups. Please pray for confidence and competence.  A global wide campaign of new Youth Alpha video's be released Fall 2017 in which we are hoping to invite a very large group to explore the Christian faith with us. Brockville Global Alpha will kick off the second week of February. We have been working with this group of Young Adults and a number of other churches to organise a unified exploration of the Christian faith in Brockville and surrounding area's. We are particularly interested to see how the Young Adults group progresses. In spending some time planning with this group, and getting to know them, you cannot help but wonder what God has in store for them. They are blessed, talented group that are walking on the path of God's favour. Please pray for the lead team (seen in the picture above). For wisdom, and a passion to love God and love others with all that is in them. Please continue to pray for wisdom in leadership, family, and health with all involved in Upper Canada YFC. The rewards we partake in have a price. Sometimes that price is easily paid, sometimes the cost is greater than we had expected. All for the Glory of the Lord, all in learning and loving, and participating in the work of the Father. ..
