Week 1: Life

Upper Canada Youth For Christ, serving churches in Upper Canada by building relationships, sharing resources, and following the pulse of God where it is already beating.

If you only had one day to live, what would you do? Why do you think some people find it awkward to talk about their faith? If you could ask God one question, what would it be?  This week we begin the Youth Alpha series. The teaching in this series encourages questions about faith and God. Please pray for our youth as they explore the pieces of what it means to be a Christian.

Global Alpha in Brockville On February 1, we helped facilitate training for small group leaders from Athens, Brockville, Prescott and  Cardinal for the Global Alpha Campaign.It was a time of fellowship, learning and powerful worship. Please pray for these leaders as they move forward in their journey to help people explore life and faith. Pray for growth in our churches, and protection those on the front lines. Click here Brockville Alpha Prayer Updates I would ask that you pray specifically for the Alpha groups that Upper Canada YFC is directly in involved in. The Young Souls on Fire group will meet every Wednesday night at Centennial Road. This group is a powerful mix of young adults that have raw talent and vision. Please pray for serving hearts, open hands and boldness in the Saviour.  Below is the schedule all off the youth groups in our region participating in Youth Alpha. We will be collaborating these groups for a Holy Spirit weekend in the near future. Please pray daily for the youth that will be introduced to Jesus through this time together: YOUTH ALPHA: Sundays 6-8 pm at Centennial Road Church in Brockville Tuesdays 6-8 pm at Brockville Westleayan in Brockville Tuesdays 5-7 pm St John's Anglican in Prescott Thursdays 6:30 - 8:30 at Athens District High School in Athens (with Athens Free Methodist)

Some of our youth will be volunteering at "Midnight Rocks" this Friday night at Centennial Road Church. Please pray for this family outreach into the community of Brockville. This will be a building block to train our youth for volunteering at  VBS this summer either in Cardinal or Prescott.  Please pray for the planning and partnerships with the churches in our region for this.  The Prescott Youth group will be teaming up with the town of Prescott to help organise an annual clean up. This event will take place on April 21 and 22nd. We have the honour of connecting with local schools, and churches to encourage their participation. Please pray for us as we shine our light into the community and plan for this event together.
