Celebration!

Upper Canada Youth For Christ, serving churches in Upper Canada by building  relationships, sharing resources, and following the pulse of God where it is already  beating. Johanna will be away at the Alpha Champion training for two days this week. Pray for her family, and for the volunteers stepping into roles to maintain programming in her absence. Pray for travelling mercies, and for Johanna to be a blessing and gain a wealth of knowledge to help her help  others to run Youth Alpha more effectively.

May 3 we attended the South Grenville High School Youth Fair. We were able to advertise what we do and tell the youth about Alpha being run in their high school next year. The best comment: "Youth for Christ, Christ as in Jesus Christ?" Me: "Yup the one and only". We handed out over 300 swag bags... Please pray that the brief moment we touched their lives opens doors for the future. On Friday we accompanied 10 youth from different high schools in the Upper Canada region to Leadercast 2017. It is our hope that the Principals and the school understand our heart to serve their youth, and their schools. Please continue to pray for God to give us favour, and for the right youth to lead and stand in the gap for Jesus in the coming school year.

Thank you so much for your commitment  in prayer to the vision of Upper Canada YFC. We are currently behind in securing the adequate funds to make any bold moves forward for the next while, but continue to maintain all God has given to us. Might you consider praying for people to join us to continue forward momentum for the youth and churches in Upper Canada? Here are some very tangible and immediate ways you and others can pray for us: Photocopying costs: materials, advertising to youth           ($40-50/ month) Communications: cost of internet, social media campaigns and phone ($100-150 / month) Dinner for 20 - 30 youth every youth night ($50 / week) Printed T-shirts for Youth at the Lighthouse Ice cream shop in Prescott we manage to provide jobs for 6-8 youth this Summer. ($200) Transportation: this is a big expense because of the area we cover.  ($300-500 / month) Materials to be able to run a weekly program for Jr. high out of the Lighthouse ice cream shop in Prescott There is also a funding commitment shortage for Johanna to work full time, and we are also looking to fill the role of a part time Development Assistant for Upper Canada YFC. This could be a roll filled by a volunteer if you or someone you know have the ability to help. Please pray for these roles to be filled. It would be very helpful for you to pass along the above information to those you know that would be interested in partnering with us. We are looking for volunteers, and financial partners who have a heart for the lost, and a heart for struggling churches. We need Gods storehouses to be opened in order to both mobilise and bless those in need. Please pray with us for these two specific needs.
